Esta semana, los mercados probablemente se verán influidos por la cumbre entre Trump y Putin en Alaska. Según ellos, las conversaciones han sido productivas y han ofrecido un posible acuerdo para la paz en Ucrania. Los observadores señalan que Putin parece mantener su postura de que los territorios actualmente ocupados pertenecerán a Rusia para poner fin a los combates.

En general, las posibilidades de paz en la región probablemente ejercerían presión sobre los precios del oro, mientras que el precio del petróleo podría debilitarse aún más. Por el contrario, el DAX alemán podría subir, ya que el sentimiento de riesgo en la zona euro también podría recibir otro impulso.

Los mercados solo tendrán que hacer frente a un número limitado de publicaciones esta semana. El jueves, los distintos índices de gestores de compras de la zona euro y de Estados Unidos podrían aportar más claridad a los participantes en el mercado en cuanto a la evolución económica. Los operadores deberían prestar especial atención al EURUSD y al GBPUSD, entre otros pares de divisas relacionados con el dólar estadounidense. El simposio anual de Jackson Hole también podría generar volatilidad en los mercados. La reunión con participantes influyentes de los mercados financieros podría ofrecer más orientación. Dado que los precios al productor en Estados Unidos subieron la semana pasada, la atención seguirá centrada en la Fed y, en particular, en Jerome Powell.

– CA- índice de precios al consumo- Se espera que el índice de precios al consumo mensual se sitúe ligeramente por encima del 0,4 %, lo que supondría un aumento con respecto a la publicación anterior. Según los últimos datos de EE. UU., que también han registrado un aumento de los precios, también podríamos ver un repunte de los precios canadienses. Esto podría contribuir a impulsar al alza el dólar canadiense, que recientemente ha experimentado una racha de pérdidas.

Según el gráfico anterior, la confianza en el dólar canadiense, conocido como «loonie», sigue siendo negativa. Parece factible que continúe la tendencia alcista, mientras que los retrocesos podrían aprovecharse como oportunidades de entrada. Cualquier movimiento a la baja, pero por encima de la zona psicológica de 1,6000, podría aprovecharse para entrar a bajo precio en la tendencia alcista. – NZ- Decisión sobre los tipos de interés- Se espera que el RBNZ recorte los tipos de interés en 25 puntos básicos durante su reunión de esta semana. En general, una bajada de tipos provocaría un debilitamiento de la divisa, pero dado que se espera esta medida, el impulso negativo podría ser limitado. Por otro lado, un análisis más detallado de los patrones gráficos actuales sugiere que el impulso bajista podría continuar.

NZDUSD, gráfico mensual

En julio, el par NZDUSD encontró una fuerte resistencia y se vendió a niveles más bajos. La presión bajista indica que el sentimiento negativo podría continuar. Una ruptura de la importante zona de 0,5870 podría desencadenar una nueva presión vendedora hacia el nivel de precios de 0,5555. Esto también estaría en línea con la tendencia general a la baja. La decisión sobre los tipos de interés se dará a conocer el miércoles 20 de agosto a las 04:00 CET.
